Travel theme: Transportation December 14, 2012 by megtraveling There are many elegant gondolas in Venice, Italy. But there are other boats providing transportation as well! About these ads Share this:TwitterFacebookTumblrStumbleUponLinkedInRedditPinterestGoogle +1Like this:Like Loading...
It’s really fun and interesting to see Venice from a gondola! But there are other ways to see Venice from the water… :) Reply
There are definitely other means of water transportation in Venice and most cheaper than a gondola but none as romantic or memorable. Reply
The experience of traveling by gondola is simply wonderful. If you just need to get to a specific place these other boats are probably better choices! Reply

There’s a lot of boat traffic in Venice. I noticed that a lot of people use other means of transportation (besides gondolas) to get around! Reply
We saw fantastic sights from a prime position on a vaporetto but I would love to explore the lagoon and canals on one of those timber boats. Reply
Aaaah! VENICE! One of my favourite cities in the world … simply because I’m such a romantic! ;) Did you get one that SERANADED you??? Reply
What happened was there was one person who was singing for two gondolas, mine and another one! It was fine because he had a beautiful voice that carried well :) Reply

They are fast and a lot cheaper as well.
That’s true – it’s good to have other options!

We don’t hear about the others as often as the gondolas. Looks like a heavily trafficked area.
