It’s really fun and interesting to see Venice from a gondola! But there are other ways to see Venice from the water… :)
There are definitely other means of water transportation in Venice and most cheaper than a gondola but none as romantic or memorable.
The experience of traveling by gondola is simply wonderful. If you just need to get to a specific place these other boats are probably better choices!
They are fast and a lot cheaper as well.

We don’t hear about the others as often as the gondolas. Looks like a heavily trafficked area.
There’s a lot of boat traffic in Venice. I noticed that a lot of people use other means of transportation (besides gondolas) to get around!

Gondola rides are a marvelous way to see Venice and should definitely be on the to-do list!
We saw fantastic sights from a prime position on a vaporetto but I would love to explore the lagoon and canals on one of those timber boats.

What happened was there was one person who was singing for two gondolas, mine and another one! It was fine because he had a beautiful voice that carried well :)
