Awards in July

I’m really pleased to receive these awards!   The first is the Illuminating Blogger Award, which I received from Sharing My Italy…The Blog.

To accept the award:

  • The Nominee should visit the award site Food Stories and leave a comment indicating that they’ve been nominated and by whom.
  • The Nominee should thank the person that nominated them by including a link to their blog.
  • Share one random thing about yourself.

My thanks to Sharing My Italy…The Blog for this award.  And be sure to visit her blog to learn more about Italy, including delicious recipes and great stories.  And one random thing is…I look forward to the moment the plane starts down the runway at the beginning of a trip.

The second award is the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award, which I received from Everyday Adventures in Havachon Heaven.  This is a blog you should visit, especially if you like really cute dogs that get into (and out of) mischief!

My seven things:

  • I just watched 5.5 movies on my flight to Rome.
  • I collect soap as souvenirs.
  • My suitcase is always second-to-last on the luggage conveyor (when I check it, which is rarely).
  • I’m an organizer.
  • I’m trying to eat less chocolate…
  • The above hasn’t been too successful.
  • I’m looking forward to the Olympics!

(I like number 6 in your list of things by the way, I hope you keep eating and enjoying chocolate, it makes me feel better about my little habit.)

  3. Congratulations and thank you for thinking of me in nominating me.I appreciate that you’ve often been a visitor on my blog and that makes me happy. I’m learning that these awards are a little bit like chain letters, but they do serve the purpose of bringing bloggers together and for that, and the recognition you’ve given me, I’m very grateful. My friend Julie has the perfect answer to the awards situation. She returns the favour by giving her Hot Potato award to people who nominate them. I just can’t remember how she did it. I’m not as technically inclined as she is.
    I enjoy visiting your blog and will also check out your other nominees. Keep up the interesting writing!

Interestingly, I am ALSO “trying” to eat less chocolate and not having any success at it! Still enjoying it EVERY day! So know that there’s others out there who like to indulge! ;) Now I need to go get myself some to celebrate! =P Thanks again!

  12. 5.5 movies in one sitting?! Wow Meg!! I’ve attempted several times on long-haul flights but it never fails, I always fall asleep!
    And wait… eating less chocolate?! Blasphemy! haha

    Congratulations on your very-well deserved awards and for thinking of me :o) I feel so honored, I’m finally starting to feel the blog love! It’s little things like these that gets me so excited when it comes to blogging! I’m such a dork!
