The pictures for this week’s photo challenge are from around the Carl Sandburg Home in North Carolina. It was late afternoon and there was green everywhere, including a house on the property. Here are some of the sights.

This is one thing I miss in the winter once the deciduous leaves are gone. All the green that is left is on the firs and holly trees.

We lived in the NC mountains for 30 years and Conamara (Sandburg’s home) was a favorite of ours to visit…not only to wander the tranquil property but to visit the dairy goat barns, an interest of ours since we raised dairy goats at the time. Your photos bring back pleasant memories.
