I’ve selected pictures from Puerto Rico for this week’s theme from Where’s my backpack? The first two are views from around the fort in Old San Juan. The others are from El Yunque, a rainforest with many waterfalls.

El Yunque:
I like the first photo. :) So nice.
Thank you – I’m glad you liked it!
The fort at Old San Juan is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
You’re welcome, and I thought the fort was very beautiful (and photogenic)!
Great photographs. Think the last one is my favourite – just a bit of a different take on a waterfall.
Thanks, and I think that’s why I liked that waterfall too!
What is it about waterfalls? Love that last shot especially…
I think waterfalls are impressive and beautiful! It was interesting to see different kinds of waterfalls at the rainforest too… :)
Beautiful photos! I particularly love the last two – forests and wooded areas are my favorite places to be. Waterfalls are added bonuses! :)
Thanks! The rainforest was a delightful place to stroll (or hike) on scenic trails. Along the way were waterfalls, which I always stopped to admire!
All are beautiful – the first one special.
The places I visited were very beautiful, and I liked the view from the first picture too!
Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos.
You’re welcome – it was fun matching these pictures to the theme!
No better liquid than waterfalls, Meg.
I agree with you Jo – waterfalls are very impressive!
Beautiful post for Liquid!
Thanks Amy! I thought of them right away for this week’s theme… :)
Oh Puerto Rico! I didn’t make it to the Falls, though. Was that at the El Yunque park?
Yes, the waterfalls were at El Yunque. What a beautiful place!
Lovely photos. The glimpse of the sea through the opening in the wall is so tranquil, and the waterfall thrilling; I like the justaposition!
Thank you. And I like your explanation – there were real contrasts between the sea and the waterfalls!
So pretty. I’d like to be there right now!!
I agree – this would be a great time to be there and enjoy the weather!
love the waterfalls!
Aren’t they fantastic? I really liked them too!

Oh wow! Amazing photos, Meg! I’ve been to San Juan – but only for a day – so I never got to see these parts of the city! Thanks for bringing me back to one of my favourite cities!
You’re welcome! Old San Juan is really gorgeous and you’ll have to go back sometime so you can see it for yourself… :)
