I noticed this sign in Salzburg, Austria and decided to take a picture of it. When I looked at it later I realized that there were other signs in the picture. If you look beyond the first few you may see one you recognize. It was a surprise.

Glad you called attention to the sign beyond.
The most elegant Golden Arches ever!
It really is a nice looking sign!
What a wonderful picture. That first sign is a work of art and so, you could say, is the one beyond. It’s certainly one of the most recognisable logos in the world.
Thanks Lorna! The difference in the appearance of the two signs is something I really noticed… :)
Lovely photo. I wonder if the food inside has a more elegant feel and presentation, as well. ;)
Thank you! It should be like that so people aren’t disappointed when they stop in…
Lovely – photogenic Salzburg :)
I agree – it is beautiful and charming!
Beautiful signs. Did you get any pastries there?
Thank you and I ate lots of delicious treats there!
I blurted “nice!” in surprise ^_^
Thank you so much – I appreciate it!

I love the sign you photographed, but you are right, the other is so recognisable.
I’m glad you liked it! It was interesting to see the contrast in the signs… :)
What a nice juxtaposition of the old world with modernity– lovely picture, Meg! :)
That’s a good description – thank you!
A Clean, Crisp, Gorgeous Pic….and Great Balance….
I really appreciate your comment – thank you!
Wow. One of the best yet!
Thanks, that’s very kind of you!

At least the MacDonalds sign fits in…even of the food doesn’t.
The sign looked very simple and nice, but I didn’t see the actual place… :)
Ah, my hometown! Yes, I always found the brand-designs for those oldish looking signs hilarious. There are more of those, I think one of them was for Louis Vuitton.
Oh, now I saw the one on the left for Tommy Hilfiger. Just to prove my point.
I thought the signs were charming and I really liked the sight of modern shops and stores displaying them!
Gorgeous shot Meg! And yes those golden arches fit in well too :-)
Thanks Madhu! It’s surprising but true that it looked fine there… :)
so creative! Great shot!
Thank you, I’m glad you liked it!
Good shot. But does the certain company have to be on every street of every city?
That is a really good question!
What a beautiful sign, Meg. Well spotted. :)
Thanks – it was very pretty and I’m glad I saw it!
I love the first sign. It’s a work of art! I would love to see the inside of the “other” establishment! I wonder how the menu reads. I’m glad you called attention to it…I really had to study. :-)
I agree with you about the sign! And now I wonder what the menu was like too… :)
Nice shot!!!!!!!
Thank you so much!
this is beautiful but I am glad you mentioned the other sign or I might have missed it
I thought it was interesting to see a modern sign among the traditional ones, so I wanted to point it out!
Brilliant picture!
Thanks very much Sarah!
look for the golden arches! ;-)
They really seem to be everywhere!

Recognizable but definetly more in tune with the surroundings…nice picture!
Thank you! I think the sign was very simple and it fit in fine… :)
haha, They’re everywhere! I like the colorful one in the foreground.
I really liked the signs and it seems they’re not all for local shops!
Excellent spotting, I probably would have missed it completely, so much nicer and definitely more elegant than the usual signage for the golden arches. The lead lighting is gorgeous.
Thanks, and I thought it was a nice sign too! The entire street was quite charming… :)

I love it. Well, maybe next summer there, but not sure. Anyway Your photo inspires to visit Austria also in addition to Germany.
Thank you and I hope you’ll get to visit Austria! Salzburg is such a beautiful place…
Beautiful photo, and it does capture the theme of ‘beyond.’ The eye is drawn farther and farther along the street and the path of that blue, blue sky.
Thanks – I now realize I got a lot more than the first sign when I took this picture!
That’s a really great photo!
I’m glad you like the picture Shirley – thank you!
I’ve been going through my reader on an ancient laptop whose screen is dull and lifeless. When a photograph pops through the fuzz like this one…you know it’s a great shot. LOVED IT!!! And its always so nice to see the Golden Arches when you’re far away from home, isn’t it? Thanks for making my night, Meg!
You’re welcome and thank you so much! I was really surprised to see that sign but it was interesting to see how well it blended in with the others… :)

Beautiful sign and great photo. Those Golden Arches are everywhere!
Thanks! I am now convinced that they are everywhere too :)
What a great capture. I love your theme and this photo. Everything is coinciding. Great job!!!
Thank you! When I saw this picture it seemed right for the photo challenge theme… :)
Very nice photo and image for the challenge!
Thank you, it was fun looking at pictures and finding this one!
Yes, I could see the McDonalds sign…amazing in a place like this. So quaint makes the heart pitter patter
The sign fit in well with the traditional ones – Salzburg is really beautiful!
