When I was walking along Magnificent Mile in Chicago the John Hancock Center was quite an impressive sight. When I finally reached it I had to stand back to get pictures of the top of the building. Here are different views of when I looked up.

Reminds me that when I first moved to Toronto and looked up, up, up all the time. True sign of a country girl in the big city!

That makes sense when you’re new to a city to admire the tall buildings! I have a feeling I’ll keep looking up too… :)

The John Hancock Centre is an impressive sight; I like the grid that surrounds it although I cannot work out if it’s just decorative.

It is a structural feature but it really makes the building distinctive. I think it’s quite impressive too!

Terrific photos of the Hancock bldg–I especially like the shadow shot. Did you go up into the lounge at the top and shoot downward, too? Much fun.

Thanks! I didn’t go to the top (at least this time) – I’d like to do that next time I’m in Chicago :)
