While I was on a leisurely walk though Venice I stopped on a small bridge to look at the view. It was then that I saw one gondolier taking a break and catching up on the latest news. He chose a nice setting for a short rest.

I adore Venice, as I am sure I keep saying on your blog. But every time I see a picture taken in Venice it transports me back there. It is so special and iconic. Merry Christmas Meg.

As a tourist we think of Venice as being so special and forget about everyday life for its citizens. I’m sure he was enjoying a few peaceful moments away from the crowds.
