When I visited Prince Edward Island I quickly became aware of the cliffs along the shore. Some of them were steeper than others but I thought that they were rugged, impressive and unforgettable. There were sidewalks and railings to keep people from walking too close to the edge. I took my pictures from a safe distance and these are some of my favorite scenes.
You can see the guard rail in the distance.
This was at the end of a dirt road.
There are more examples here.
These three edge photos of the Prince Edward Island are gorgeous! What spectacular views.
Thank you for sharing, Meg!

Sometimes those high edges let go with our weight, so you’re smart to take your photos from farther back.

There were signs to stand back and I could see how soft the ground looked by the cliffs. I decided to stay on the concrete sidewalks!

I love cliff photos, I probably appreciate them even more because my fear of heights won’t let me on them, even though I long for the views! Beautiful pics. :)

Thank you! I definitely didn’t get too close to the edge of the cliffs but I was still able to get these pictures from the viewing areas… :)

I love that you don’t see the railings very easily in these photos. I understand the need for safety, but i like to imagine these rugged cliffs without any human interference. They are really beautiful, Meg!

There was so much you could see and I think they tried to make things safe and still have a good view. It was really amazing!

Beautiful photos, Meg! I remember visiting P.E.I. in 1967, on a family trip. I don’t remember too much–I saw a production of Anne of Green Gables at a local theater, and on one of those cliff tops, I found a pocketful of Canadian coins. I would love to go back some day.
