One of the most interesting places that I’ve spent time outdoors is Gatlinburg, Tennessee. When I was there it was a lovely day in May and warm enough not to need a jacket. Gatlinburg is a great place for walking and some of the things I remember seeing include a bridge, a bench, and flowers, both in a garden and in the mountains. Speaking of mountains I went on a gondola ride for a panoramic view of the area. This was a time when being outside was a wonderful experience and it also reminds me why I like spring so much!

The last two photos are great. They’re all nice but I really like the last two.

Beautiful pics, I’m especially intrigued by the bridge in the woods. I love hiking through wooded areas and bridges like that (as well as winding paths) have an irresistible draw for me. :)

Those mountains look a lot like ours here in Italy. Our trees are just beginning to turn green.

I’ve been to Gatlinburg and it is gorgeous!! One of my favorite things we did on this trip was traveling into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and did a tour of Cades Cove. It was a stunning loop to view the mountains, and a number of settler’s cabins along the way!!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I’m loving your writing and look forward to reading more! :-)

I love those groves of trees, Meg. I have only visited Tennessee very briefly and yet I do recall thinking the state was very pretty! I haven’t specifically been to Gatlinburg. Your photos make it look very inviting! :-) Hope you had a nice Easter. ox

The Smokies are great, and of course, are also part of NC. We spent a lot of time there when I was a child. Black bears roamed around all of the time. Amazing.

I kept hearing about the bears but I didn’t see any when I was there. These mountains (and wildlife) are really amazing!
