One of the most interesting places that I’ve spent time outdoors is Gatlinburg, Tennessee. When I was there it was a lovely day in May and warm enough not to need a jacket. Gatlinburg is a great place for walking and some of the things I remember seeing include a bridge, a bench, and flowers, both in a garden and in the mountains. Speaking of mountains I went on a gondola ride for a panoramic view of the area. This was a time when being outside was a wonderful experience and it also reminds me why I like spring so much!

The last two photos are great. They’re all nice but I really like the last two.
Thanks – those last two pictures reminded me of a fresh, crisp spring day!
Love those mountains in the background. I can see why these views would remain in your memory.
It was so much fun riding on the gondola and then I got to see these mountain views!
Gorgeous outdoor spring pics, Meg. Those Violas are so pretty. :)
Thank you! I thought that those flowers looked very cheerful… :)
Beautiful pics, I’m especially intrigued by the bridge in the woods. I love hiking through wooded areas and bridges like that (as well as winding paths) have an irresistible draw for me. :)
Thanks – I was so happy to see that bridge on my walk! It was such a charming sight… :)
There’s nothing like that fresh green of new spring foliage. Lovely.
It was a perfect day for a walk and seeing all the greenery was really delightful!
Those mountains look a lot like ours here in Italy. Our trees are just beginning to turn green.
It must be so beautiful there in the spring! It’s always wonderful to see the fresh green leaves… :)
Those mountains look amazing, it must have been great to see them close up. ;)
It was really impressive and I’m so happy that I took the gondola ride!
There must be a Bridge challenge somewhere, don’t you think, Meg? :) You have a lovely one and a bench too! Beautiful shots :) Have a lovely Easter!

As a Tennessee lady these photos are dear to my heart…we are having a lovely Spring here.
I can understand why you feel that way – Tennessee is really beautiful, especially in the spring!
So pretty :-)
It was a wonderful and memorable day!
I’ve been to Gatlinburg and it is gorgeous!! One of my favorite things we did on this trip was traveling into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and did a tour of Cades Cove. It was a stunning loop to view the mountains, and a number of settler’s cabins along the way!!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I’m loving your writing and look forward to reading more! :-)
I really think that these mountains are amazing to visit. I enjoyed your blog too!
Beautiful! I love seeing the green again. Those photos make me want to jump and run through it all.
That’s a great idea Sheila – I’d like to step into these pictures too! :)

Lovely scenery! Wow so green.
It was a wonderful sight and an unforgettable spring day!
Spring…my favorite season. I can’t wait until everything turns lush green and flowers bloom.
It’s been a cold winter and the spring flowers are extra welcome this year!
I love those groves of trees, Meg. I have only visited Tennessee very briefly and yet I do recall thinking the state was very pretty! I haven’t specifically been to Gatlinburg. Your photos make it look very inviting! :-) Hope you had a nice Easter. ox
Thanks Debra! The mountains are so pretty and fresh in the spring – I’d like to go back for another visit… :)
The Smokies are great, and of course, are also part of NC. We spent a lot of time there when I was a child. Black bears roamed around all of the time. Amazing.
I kept hearing about the bears but I didn’t see any when I was there. These mountains (and wildlife) are really amazing!
I’ve heard good things about Gatlinburg but have never visited here. Your photos and words make it very inviting. :D
It’s a wonderful place to visit and the view of the mountains is really impressive!
