I’ve been in different parts of Virginia over the past few weeks and the change in the trees has been remarkable. When I was in Williamsburg at the beginning of the month there was a lot of color in the leaves and shrubs. A nursery at Colonial Williamsburg had rows of greenery and potted plants for sale. Last week I was in the mountains and saw the Natural Bridge. It was quite impressive even though the leaves were gone. Still, the trees can be dramatic even without leaves.

Nice images here. The colors look as vibrant as anything we have in New England. The natural bridge is really cool looking.

There are definitely beautiful colors there in Virginia. I love the contrast and the texture in the before and after shots.

Thanks Michelle – I thought the contrast was so interesting but even without leaves the trees are pretty!

The leaves are a bit sparse now, Meg, and the wind howling so it’s lovely to look back at these. :) Hope the festive season is kind.

Fall leaves provide such spectacle, but I agree that even bare trees are beautiful.

It is a beautiful part of the world you live in. We’re heading into Autumn now but it is still stinking hot and no chance of Autumn colours in our area :-(

It is really pretty here all year – it hasn’t gotten hot here yet. It really sounds like you could use a little bit of cool weather – I hope it’s soon!!
