I was in Colonial Williamsburg yesterday to see the autumn foliage. I didn’t expect to see so much greenery, especially since it’s November! It was a delightful day and many people were out walking in shorts and sandals. I didn’t think it was that warm but I ended up carrying my jacket after walking for a couple of hours. Here are some of the sights from yesterday.
With everything still so green I wondered if I’d see any fall foliage. I did find this tree on one of the streets and the colors were lovely.
While the leaves still hang on, it’s beautiful. Then once they drop, the trees take on a barren, ugly look, but I suppose that makes us appreciate the next season’s green leaves again. Nice photos, Meg.
Thanks – I was surprised and very happy to see that so many leaves are still on the trees!
What a lovely walk, the colours are so beautiful in Autumn. I love the photo of the leaves, so vibrant :-)
Thank you Sam! I was amazed by the colors of those leaves… :)
You can just bathe in those Autumn colours, Meg. Nothing quite like them :)
The colors were just spectacular Jo!
Beautiful.
The scenery was really amazing!
I enjoyed those warm days, too!
It was nice having warm days while they lasted!
Since we lived in a home built in the 1730’s, I always have wanted to visit colonial Williamsburg…perhaps in the future. Merry Christmas, Meg.
Hi Karen! You’ll really enjoy it if you get there for a visit. Merry Christmas to you and a very Happy New Year!
Thank you Meg, wishing you all the best in this New Year.
Thanks Karen!
