Welcome to Meg Travels.
My earliest travel adventures were family car trips to visit relatives. My first question was always, “Are we there yet?” as we were pulling out of the driveway.
I’m from Lexington, Massachusetts, where there were people from around the world visiting and asking for directions to historic areas in town. I wondered what was so interesting about my hometown. But I did like finding out where these visitors were from.
I’ve had lots of opportunities to travel, and I’ve found that planning and researching a trip is (almost) as exciting at the trip itself. Being able to write about my travel experiences helps me remember all the things that I like about travel.
I also want to mention that I have another blog called Meggie’s Adventures, which is about travel, thank you notes and other stories. See you there!
Loved your Paris 101 posting!

I’m glad you liked the humorous wood carving. Bears, eagles, and moose seem to be the main subjects for just about every kind of artwork. I know that art often reflects the surroundings of the artist, and I really enjoy art displays of any kind when I am in other towns or countries because it shows me what is important to the people there. But here? Sometimes I think that if I see one more photo, painting, or carving of a cute moose or a bear catching a salmon, I’ll scream!
So yesterday I saw a moose cow with two calves and of course I stopped to photograph them! Some things never cease to be special, no matter how many times we see them. It’s a funny thing.

I’m sure I would have taken that picture too! People must like the artwork to take home as souvenirs. You get to have amazing experiences though…

Absolutely – the planning and research is as good as the trip! It helps build up the excitement … but at the same time, don’t plan and research too much – there needs to be an element of surprise!!! Look forward to exploring more of your blog :-)
