I’ve selected pictures from Puerto Rico for this week’s theme from Where’s my backpack? The first two are views from around the fort in Old San Juan. The others are from El Yunque, a rainforest with many waterfalls.
One of the most charming areas of San Juan, Puerto Rico is Old San Juan. It has beautiful pastel colored buildings, cobblestone streets and an impressive fort that once protected the city. There is a thick wall with guard towers that provided protection against invaders. Today though, the ships on the horizon are cruise ships, as opposed to the pirate vessels of previous centuries.
