Around Seattle


I just got back from Seattle.  I was prepared for rainy weather which was good because it rained every day I was there!  I brought an umbrella that managed to catch a gust of wind and turn inside out the first time I used it.  But before looking for another one to replace it I noticed a container of umbrellas in the lobby of my hotel.  After finding out they could be borrowed I used one every day and stayed nice and dry.

A Travel List

A View of San Gimignano

It happened to rain on the day I visited San Gimignano in Tuscany.  Since this is always a possibility on a trip, I came to Italy prepared for any kind of weather.  So I wore a poncho and carried an umbrella.  Since it wasn’t windy, the umbrella didn’t blow inside out!  When I wanted to take a picture I stood under an awning or near a building entrance.  I thought the town looked pretty in the rain and I accepted it as something that happens when you travel. Umbrellas and Ponchos

I don’t think I’ve gone on a trip where it hasn’t rained at least once.  And although I always pack a sturdy umbrella, I don’t carry it with me every day.  And of course when I don’t have it, it inevitably rains.  What to do?
